Careful planning for the health and safety-related aspects of your project is a key factor in its likely success, especially when filming or travelling abroad.
The Fleet Street Clinic specialises in looking after production crew working under extreme conditions abroad - from managing ongoing care for news media broadcasting from Iraq, to helping with the months of pre-production planning and project support for Ewan McGregor's round-the-world bike ride - "Long Way Round."? Click here to follow his progress!
We are also happy to help with some of the common, practical problems that arise when filming in the UK - such as using our specialist knowledge of Travel Medicine to help overseas cast members cope with new time zones, if they are flying in on a tight production schedule.
For overseas projects, we strongly advise contacting us well in advance, leaving plenty of time for vaccination courses to be completed, as well as for a formal risk assessment, if necessary. But we understand the pressures and realities of the industry, and our experience with last-minute travel is second to none: we'll be happy to help regardless of your schedule.
Key areas we can help with include:- Protection from tropical diseases
- Food and water safety
- Prescribing and supplying medical kits, trauma kits and first aid supplies
- Medical support whilst away
- Health screening at the end of a project
If your team is too busy, our call-out team is ready to come to you! |
